BIG SPRINGS PARK PLAYGROUND IS OPEN:
Big Springs Park is located at 75 Old Talladega Road.
This park contains a small lake that draws its water from the crystal clear stream of spring water that
flows through the park. This stream of water originates a short distance north of the park and is the runoff from the city's main drinking water source.
You can also find a popular walking track at Big Springs Park. The track is 1730 feet in length and extends along the creek and around the lake. Bright, decorative lighting surrounds the
track to provide an opportunity for those who prefer to walk at night. Along the track is outdoor exercise equipment for your use.
You can also find a small dog park located across the bridge behind the Senior Center. Parking is available at 209 Robinson Street.
Big Springs Park also features two pickleball courts and a sand volleyball court. They are first-come, first-served.
Monuments honoring Veterans and the recipients of the Purple Heart can also be found in the park.
Pavilions #5 Beige (Small Pavilion), #6 Cherry Red (Small Pavilion), and #7 Tucker/Peoples (Largest Pavilion) are located around the playground. These can be reserved under the "Big Springs Splash Pad" Tab.
